Microsoft announced Windows 11 yesterday.
Windows 11 is a simplification of the Windows user interface, a new Windows Store, and improvements to performance and multitasking. Windows 11 will also include support for running Android apps.2
Windows 11 is the next evolution of Windows.
Windows 11 is the most significant update to the Windows operating system since Windows 10. It offers many innovations focused on enhancing end-user productivity in a fresh experience that is flexible and fluid.
Windows 11 is designed to support today’s hybrid work environment and intended to be the most reliable, secure, connected, and performant Windows operating system ever.
The key changes in Windows 11 were:
- The new Start Menu, Taskbar, and Search.
- New animations.
- A new way to multitask with windows.
- Improved touch controls.
- Fresh new sounds.
- Dark Mode
- Rounded Corners.
- Refreshed Action Center.
- New Icons.
- New ways to manage virtual desktops.
- Widgets (Yes they are back)
- Integrated Microsoft Teams
Microsoft announced that all Windows 10 users will be offered Windows as a free update. Microsoft did not announce the release date but it is expected some time in November/December 2021.
