DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) is an email authentication protocol that enhances inbox security by verifying senders and preventing domain spoofing. It works alongside DKIM and SPF protocols, ensuring that only authorised emails are aligned with the domain’s policy. This not only protects a brand’s reputation but also strengthens the security of the email ecosystem. With Gmail’s new requirements for bulk senders to authenticate emails via DMARC, the integrity of email communication is further safeguarded, reducing spam and malicious messages. DMARC also offers visibility through reports, helping domain owners monitor their email programs effectively. We have produced and info sheet with more detail, you can access it here, or contact us to get DMARC up and running on your system, if you haven’t got it already.
